How To Apply
Eligibility
If you live in the East Surrey area (the boroughs of Reigate, Banstead and Tandridge)
and are looking after someone who has a disability, is frail,
or is suffering from a long term illness then you may be eligible for help from us.
For other parts of the county you can find your nearest Crossroads Care Surrey branch on the Contact Us page.
Charges
On 1st February 2009, following a change in funding from statutory bodies, we were obliged to introduce a charging policy.
Existing clients will continue to receive their agreed hours free of charge while
new clients will be entitled to a maximum of three hours free care per week. All clients will be able to purchase additional hours
at the standard rate, currently £14 per hour.
In addition, thanks to local fundraising efforts, there is also some limited funding available for one-off periods of respite care of between 8 and 48 hours.
There is a registration fee of £20 to cover administration and assessment costs.
You can also become a member of Crossroads Care Surrey for £10 per annum.
Crossroads Care Surrey is a registered charity and is funded by the local Health Authority, Social Services and the District Councils.
However, donations are greatly appreciated and go into direct care hours,
enabling us to help more carers.
The Next Step
You can contact us yourself or ask someone to do it for you.
People can be referred to Crossroads Care from many sources including Social Services,
doctors, district nurses and health visitors.
Our Care Manager will make an appointment to come to your home to assess your needs
and match them to a suitable Care Attendant. There is sometimes a waiting-list.
