Here To Help

Being a carer for a friend or relative can be very hard work, with no time to relax or recuperate. Crossroads gives carers time to themselves by taking on their caring responsibilities for a while, either in the home, at our Social Clubs or on days out.

Details of the services we provide can be found on the What We Do page, and to check eligibility see How To Apply.

News And Events

On 1st February 2009 East Surrey Crossroads and the five other Surrey schemes merged to become 'Surrey Crossroads'. The former schemes will maintain separate offices, and clients should not notice any difference in the service they receive.

Chairman John Bartle listed some of the many benefits of this change:

  • economies of scale will create savings by having for example one payroll system and one invoice system
  • it will be easier to make single applications for grants and tenders on behalf of all the schemes
  • staff flexibility should reduce travel time and increase care time
In addition, due to changes in funding from statutory bodies a new charging policy has had to be introduced, though this will not affect the existing support received by our current clients. See How To Apply.

We have also started a new 'Craft and Chatter' Social Club.
